In 2010 Ixchel completed her Master's degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and B.S. in Nutrition, attaining Cum Laude honors.

Ixchel worked for a leading Chicagoland Physical Therapy company as the company's sole acupuncturist from 2011 to 2015; she provided acupuncture services to the Evanston, Winnetka, and surrounding Northshore area.  Working alongside physical therapists allowed her hands-on experience with a variety of orthopedic injuries.

Licensed and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and certified through the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, Ixchel has accomplished result-oriented acupuncture treatments. With a thorough understanding of various branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine and complimentary therapies, she is able to provide a holistic approach to health care for her clients. Ixchel is passionate in helping others reach their health and wellness goals. She focuses on giving her clients the tools they need to heal their own bodies, resulting in lasting wellness.
